13th Edition of the Fiebre Photobook Fest
The photobook is more alive than ever. Once again this year, La Casa Encendida will serve as a hub for the photobook community to meet, learn, and exchange ideas.
Hours:
Friday, September 18, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Saturday, September 19, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and from 4:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Sunday, September 20, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
The 13th edition of Fiebre Photobook Fest champions an approach to the photobook that is more open to emotion, intuition, and sensations. It is an invitation to let yourself be carried away by what happens between the image, the paper, and the object, with a focus on the vitality and diversity of independent Mexican publishing.
The fair, the festival’s centerpiece, will bring together more than 130 projects by artists, collectives, publishers, bookstores, and distributors from Spain, Mexico, Argentina, Venezuela, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Peru, Italy, Portugal, France, Austria, China, the United States, the United Kingdom, Poland, Germany, and Sweden. With more participants than ever before, it will be a space to discover new publications, build networks, connect with the public, and strengthen ties with the international scene.
Alongside the fair, a comprehensive program of activities, workshops, and exhibitions shapes an edition designed for discovery, enjoyment, and—above all—connection, for both those just beginning to explore the medium and those who have made it their profession and way of life.
We look forward to seeing you from September 18 to 20.
