Compromiso con el Clima
Communities that envision and build more livable futures are coming together for the sixth edition of Compromiso con el Clima, two days of inspiration, music, conversation, and celebration to share real solutions to the climate crisis. Take action and join us.
Compromiso con el Clima, our climate forum dedicated to sharing solutions to the environmental crisis, is celebrating its sixth edition. This year, it will consist of two events taking place on Friday, November 13, and Saturday, November 14.
On Friday afternoon, 'ClimaX. El Musical' -a project that was part of Mondiacult 2025, the world’s largest conference on cultural policies and sustainable development, and which has grown throughout this year with the participation of six communities from across Spain linked to the climate crisis and innovative responses to it- will be presented. Schools that include birds as part of their community; kids serving as agents of change against classroom heat; forests that don’t catch fire because everyone watches over them together; municipal technicians teaming up with architecture students to design the city through radical imagination; girls and boys studying in schools without walls or roofs; a school devastated by a DANA storm that saves an entire neighborhood. All these communities have reflected on their practices and shared that knowledge with artists who, under the direction of Óscar Bueno and Anto Rodríguez, have turned that knowledge into songs that will be premiered here on November 13.
On Saturday morning, in the courtyard of La Casa Encendida, a major conference will take place under the theme 'El arte del encuentro'. An event to celebrate the victories of communities defending their lands, rivers, and lagoons; the virtuous infrastructures that accelerate systemic change, such as energy communities, neighborhood kitchens, shared housing, and socially conscious media; encounters with other species, such as dogs, or between diverse people, places, and things; artists and schools; social entrepreneurs and public policies; young migrants and herds; and Indigenous communities; as well as the places that foster these encounters: architecture, a neighborhood, a plaza, a garden.
There will be an open mic so that everyone in the audience can comment on the talks and, as always, art, music, and dance. And this year, one more thing: a meal to which everyone is invited, because the table is always the best place to celebrate the art of encounter.
Join us in our commitment to the climate. We’ll be waiting for you!
